My new knuckleboom

If it was gonna leak, it leaked for me. I chased shiny spots for months. It's like the barometric pressure from where they assemble them and where we use them causes every connection to leak. I had a ton of problems with my meccnil for the first 6 or 8 months. Never a cylinder though.

Mine is leaking from this check valve plug

It’s not an o ring. It’s a copper crush washer. Doesn’t seem to fit good either. It’s sloppy in there. One of my mechanics is working on finding a more suitable washer. I’ll let him Know about the loc tight. Thanks Steve

Hmm. I'm almost positive that one leaked on me and it was an O-ring. On a sg220 model though

Hmm. Well anyway I think retightening worked. Now I have other issues. My crane keeps locking me out with 3 different error codes. I have to operate in bypass mode at all times.

Also, my mec 160 won’t complete a cut. No power. Power in all other functions but the saw blade just won’t complete a cut. I replaced the battery. No change. Chain is properly tensioned and nothing else seems to be malfunctioning. I had to complete my last job today grabbing brush and having a climber cut. I was being paid by the hour from another service too. Not a good first time using me for sure.

I had heard of others having similar issues with their PM trucks. Does the bar not extend fully or just bogs down? If its bogging down maybe slow the bar speed a bit. But it could also be a flow issue. None of mine have a crush washer. I can say from experience with leaks. Everything I have to tighten gets a new oring. If its passing by the ring enough to leak, its probably damaged and is gonna leak again soon. Super high pressures we're dealing with. I was told this in the past and didn't take the advice. After fixing every leak twice I just replace the ring and only deal with it once. Please explain how it can't finish the cut.

When I get halfway or so into my cut it looses power and stops spinning the chain. The thicker the peice, the worse the problem. If I’m curing near capacity, it can not complete the cut. Can only handle 4 to 6 inch cuts

Okay if I'm understanding you correctly, mine will start to limp if I'm stretched too far out and I'm making my cut at full capacity. It'll go real slow. Is this what you're talking about?

I think my speed was a little fast on the bar. Things went well yesterday. Took down a super sketchy dead oak. If I even bumped it the whole tree looked like it was going to fall.

I got a bunch of video. Guess I’ll start a YouTube page so I can share it.

Been having issues with my diverter not operating properly. When I hit my grapple functions it is also doing other functions like telescoping and raising/lowering my jib. It is sharing fluid with my mec so it runs like crap When it happens.

BIK has a tec working on the truck today. I’ll have to say, for all the bad I’ve heard, it hasn’t been my experience with BIK. They are bending over backwards to make it work.

Oh by the way you want to take a bungee cord and strap your grapple lines to the manual pull out. I've snagged em and squirted oil all over. Lol
