Contracting for TC262, with Timbertime Tree Service
What craneslings you using there?
 
They are some long dead eyes from Rope Logic. TC262 could give you better details in them. I know they were stabil braid and somewhere around 5/8ths.
We also used some hollow braid slings Tom had spliced himself that worked great as spider legs.

So just to get the idea right, you would rig to the crane then bomb out? Pull you climbing line, the second climber would cut the limb. From there you would tie back into the ball and ride up to the next, repeating the process?
 
Happened to me in an old International with 600gl of fert in the tanks on a clover leaf highway ramp. Pretty sketchy.
