Jim454,
I have used the Morbark 7 before. It is an interesting machine in that of all the small capacity chippers this one does indeed chew up bigger material than one would think.
The huge drum acts like a branch crusher and at the same time the large diameter of the drum has tremendous centrifical force so it keeps it's speed up.
All in all a great machine for the small operator.
It does not like palm too much as the stringy material will wrap on the drum.
When I first used it, I thought what a pos, but after stuffing it with fairly large material I was surprised.
I think when the knives are sharp it will out chip a comparable disk chipper.
The machine I used also had the wisconsin engine on it, which kept falling apart, but in all fairness the thing kept running and didn't overheat.
The price sounds right. Demo it and also check to see if the drum is worn and see if the base plate area is straight.
