We have been running a hook lift for about a year. I decided to go with a full size pre-emissions cab and chassis because of the exhaust brake and cheaper maintenance, and a swap loader hook lift because swap loader has the best tilt angle if you want to use it as a dump truck.
Here are a few pictures of how we use it. We mostly use it to haul our mini crane, but we have a second bed to use as needed.
We don't do any chipping in our operation, as we have a grapple truck
I have wondered if a rollback truck would have been a better choice instead of a roll off, but haven't tried one yet.
