Not typical but had a storm damaged removal that I can’t ID. It’s just an itch I can’t scratch. Location is Michigan. What do you think?

Some kind of willow. Leaves aren't developed enough yet to say which. How big was it?

It was approx 20 dbh 55ft tall with a 25ft canopy.

If it was shaped like a "proper tree", I'd start with Black willow.
