I wish you and your loved ones well. Take the time to heal properly.
Paul M. told me about it this morning. First , I wish you a fast and complete recovery from this injury. I hope that the pain goes away even quicker. I plan on bringing it up in the safety mtg. tomorrow. After we talk, expect to feel the good vibes being sent your way, as the Heartwood family will be thinking of you. And Kristian, I am still on the quest to eradicate the planet of untaped rope ends, just so you know.

Kristian, you have my highest hopes for a speedy recovery. You are a big helping hand to climbers all over with your bright personality, and warm hart. We, the climbers are still growing and need you at our comps. So godspeed Kristian, this can only make you stronger.

Looks like the heel is to swollen to operate so maybe in a week.
They took an MRI of his back this morning, possible surgery tomorrow.

Thought about you all day today, Kristian, as it appears a lot of other people have done.
It is obvious how many lives you touch from the outpouring, and it is true, you do make a huge difference in our industry, and so many people look up to you!

Just got off the phone with Kristian and his spirits are very high. It is a very rare breed that can see the positive in everything that happens and Kristian is definitely of that breed. He mentioned that he might have interest in working towards his BCMA during his recovery. If anyone is able to assist him with this endeavor with any reading materials or other info it might be a nice help.
Keep smiling Brother and heal fast.

I just got home, I knew there would be a big response here. I sat with KMS a while today, his pain is manageable, swelling in foot going down, he is resolved to cooperate with the docs and do whatever needs to be done. Phone calls and text messages constantly, he has such a great network in this industry! We are all positive that this is no more than a stumbling block in his career which will be jumped over in a short matter of time. During that time he will be taken care of by workers compensation, who will pay all medical expenses as well as his wages while he recovers. I bitch about work comp all the time, but it is my biggest relief during all this. Looks like we are taking back some of the $60K I gave them last year-ha. I will try to print this later tonite and take them to Kristian tomorrow. Thank you all.

Noel, Id bet by the time this is all done w/, youll take almost that entire figure back and maybe more. As scary as it may be, id like to see the final bill. it would sure make a good case to show some of these guys that go without it as to why to have it.

So sorry to hear the news...but relieved that you're still with us. I'm sure this is draining on multiple levels, but I'm sure you'll be back in action soon enough. You're an inspiration to us all, and I appreciate your support over the past few years.
