I don't think sterling has an arborist consulting them. Their media output is more for preppers, hunters, and old-school arborists.

So many. But, the biggest is it was never Intended or designed for use in trees. Full poly double braid or nylon core kernmantle is ideal for our industry.

Duh. All constructions started on the high seas, but some have been proven to be the best choices for us.

Most, perhaps. I'm not interested in "most" though. Donaghys cougar blue was arborist-designed. Yale has a history of catering design to arborists.

Sterling is a copycat, new to the market, not making anything particularly exciting or revolutionary. At least they start with high quality materials though.

I'll give you that. I hate their doublebraids, but htp is a favorite of mine.

Sterling put out some research on hitch cords a while back. I was not impressed with the experimental design, the results charts, or the old school hitch knots chosen.

I think we are in a post-stretch world, for ascent. Maybe the MRT/DDRT guys have more/different to add.

Yes, we are now in a low load/ low stretch ascent, high load/ appropriate stretch/ elongation for a fall, type of design world. Km III Max, XStatic, Kernmaster, Blue Moon, type of world.

Like our multiscenders slipping under strong loads and the fact that our anchors are dynamic. The irony, is though, those same multiscenders function best on the lines that were designed as such. Interesting? Is it not?
