Rick "the Real Deal" Denbeau proved that he is in fact that, THE REAL DEAL !!!! Rick and Jesse both had excellent climbs in that monster Pin Oak, but Rick's sweet throw ball shot and fantastic plan (not to mention the cave man roar)put him on top.
Cormac Nagan was the top out of state competitor and pulled off one hell of an incredible Master climb that left no doubt that he is a force to reckon with in the TCC circuit.
Josie Spagnolo also had an inredible climb and was easily the crowd favorite as she worked the Master tree. She is going to do KY proud in Providence next year.
All in all the Masters climb and the whole event went extremely well and was a ton of fun.

We had a beautiful day in Central park. Due to the short planning period and a number of last second cancellations, there was a real chance of the comp not happening. However, several people stepped up and made this thing happen. I may forget a few people, but I am sending my sincerest thanks to head judges: Wesley (Tapeworm), Charles, Mike, Joey, and Paul (Tree Rat,), Techs: Vince, Tony, Tyler, Tom and Adrian (Ranger Danger), Greg Manning, Stacy, George Bell, Tommy G, Jeff R, and Larry H. Also, Rich H did a great job heading the Masters...But one person really stood out and made this comp happen: Megan (Mrs. Tapeworm???). Megan stayed late Friday night organizing a jumbled mess of paperwork and spent the next day tallying scores and keeping me sane. Thankyou so much, Megan.
Sorry to those who didn't attend and or get to enjoy the following after comp events: 1. a follow-up course from last year, Advanced Graffiti 201 with Paul Mautz, 2. Cuban pig roast with beans and rice and fried plantains, 3. Performing donuts with the Beater, or "can you "drift" in grass with a Minicooper", 4. woodchip Jenga, starring Rick the Real Deal Denbeau, and 5. The gatorade dumps on the champions, also with woodchips.
