Aren't the Stein helmets made by Kask? Mine says Stein on the front and Kask on the back.

Yes but the one out now from over seas are not leagal for USA use. Like Bull said the plastic is lighter. You guys are allowed to use a lighter helmet to climb then we are. Go figure that one, yet any boon can climb up the tree and start cutting with no formal training. Limbs lost from saws is ok but the sight of brains leaking is just too much. Besides, what will you land on to break your fall, if the helmet doesn't beat you to the ground first.

I heard the same thing today. I've had the chance to wear mine around a bit and I love it. I put a screen and ear defenders on my pacific for chipper and big saw stuff but my kask will be my normal duty helmet from now on. I'm also using it for my bike helmet when I take my little one for rides. See pic for sexy fit.

I've got the compliance specs in front of me and it does appear That the face shield does meet the requirements for Z87.1 eye protection. The catalog has the approval listing. Very cool as glasses seem redundant.

It's a 3 day green industry trade show and conference in Boston, happens once a year. It's a pretty big deal up here, and it's very affordable. Pre-registration is $39 for all three days. Lots of great speakers, new ideas, CEU opportunities, and an awesome trade show!
