Until a version of the bill is actually passed there is no strict language. The way the bill is proposed now, the one that was just shotdown, it would have been a takeover of healthcare. The Govt would have made the decisions of who gets care, and what level of care they receive. etc etc etc
This isnt worht discussing because that bill is currently dead, hopefully forever. I am excited to see what kind of refroms they come back with.

I dont understand why they dont revamp medicare/caid? If they havent been able to run that smoothly and at least not LOSE money, break even maybe, why do we expect them to run healthcare corrctly for more than helf the country?
 
Jim (BB), I don’t believe that the outrageous costs for sometimes minuscule products are associated with administering them. Hospitals charge quite enough just to be there without added ‘administration’ costs. I’d love to see the financial spreadsheets justifying $15 aspirin.

Hey Jim, this is anecdotal evidence at best. As far as I know the govt is explicitly saying that they have no interest in "taking over" health care. I think claims as heavy as you're making(i.e. govt wants to take over the health system) justify factual proof. Without it its just propaganda and rhetoric.

Obama has lied on almost every point he ran on, why believe him now?

They didnt want to take over banks, insurance and cars, just lend them money. Now they are setting rules and guidelines for those industries, not a takeover but working toward it.

I guess we all see and hear what we want. I cant stand the man and what he is trying to do to our country, socialization.
You love him because he......? Change?

Some lies for me, was closing Guantanamo in first year, no lobbyists in his cabinet, no more spending we need to tighten the budget ( we are now in debt to China in the hundreds of billions and growing!), open forum on law discussions. He has had no transparecy in his closed door meetings on healthcare, wont explain who his Czars are, what they do, who they answer to, how much they are paid, and from where.

I'm not saying the clips were manufactured, I'm just saying they were edited with a slant.

My thoughts on leaders and politicians are this: I am skeptical of ANYONE who aspires to rule the masses.

I have some far right friends and some far left friends , I'm just not interested in misinformation. Both extremes are equally guilty.

If you make a claim, back it up. Talking points are killing this country.
 
Blatantly lieing is killing this country as well. Obama and his left leaning Congress have a moajor agenda they are trying to push through before election time.

I dont feel that was edited to give it a certain feel, the man lied, NUMEROUS times on major issues and people are sick of it. MA is the first example of how angry the people are.
 
im curious to why the weight and responsibility of providing health care to the people is the responsibility of the business owner. First of all it means that only people with good jobs have access to good health care, second, it puts a huge burden on the business owner to take care of something that really ahs nothing to do with the business. Health care is a community social issue, it shouldnt be the employers responsibility. thats one of the real reasons the american car companies have been taking such a big hit and nothing is made in this country anymore.
