Illinois TCC 2009

It'll be one more with you, I bet you got a saddle and know how to use it, right? I know you're more than just a mushroom junkie ;) Go for it!

if you really want to try it, but are a little afraid, I'd say just do it. I remember my first time. Someone said, "Is john gonna compete?" and I thought, 'holy crap!, I will, but ain't I too new?' If that guy didn't say somethin I probably would have sat and watched.

Well ya don't need much. I assume you already have access to the essential gear if you're climbing sweet big oaks at the arboretum. What do you need to borrow?

And you've been to the ITCC so you have some idea what you gonna try to do eventwise. Take a couple friends or family for moral support and have good time.

welcome.

So there's the usual winner Todd, X winners Deihl, & Dirksen ( who I'm perdicting is gonna school us all this year), King ( who has been in the finals a few times. I heard a rumor that Nathan Hadly is coming back, is that true anyone?
So If Hadley and Dirksen are in the finals that leaves one more spot.....

It be nice if there was some new talent in the masters. Anyone else care to predict?

Sorry John, can't make it, and would never try to call a comp, I've seen too many surprises and close calls. Hadley's a cool cat though, I'd like to seee him do well.

Well, I need to borrow some gear if I compete. Anyone willing to help? I can afford to take you out for a thank you beer, but can't buy all the gear.

It's up to 23 Men and 3 women, without Steph (Anne, Caryl, Liz).

Dirksen and Hadley are not on the list.

Four 'Outta Staters'. Cormac Nagan, Abram Zeis, Tony Perez and Matt Cornell.

Well, I went out and footlocked today and YIKES! That's what a desk job does to your upper body strength?! Urgh! I think I'm going to stick with being a timer this year, but maybe next year. I miss having a field job. johnmeiszner, thanks for your offer, I really appreciate your help. I'll see you all this weekend!

Great Stephanie.

Raven, Too bad you can't be there. Cuz you're a serious tree guy, and cuz I owe you one for that little stunt you pulled at TCI.

Norm, too bad no Dirksen or Hadley. Looks like tod, jason and I will be the geezers. Don't tell me they're not going.

Thanks for making our comp. happen everyone. Stephanie at speed climb, Joe (scoring A.R. all day and more), GregManning work climb, "tteinc" ( Were you the one of the two up in the work climb all day from Michigan?), Wagnaw (Did we meet? Where were you at?), Israel a.k.a. IGTworker speed climb, Norm of course bouncin around all over, Tod Kramer for feeding us and doing the work climb first when it was wet, and all other treebuzzers that I either didn't get a chance to meet or didn't know you were a treebuzzer. It was a cool group of competitors this year. All seemed very enthusiastic and professional. Is Chris the footlock judge from Kentucky a treebuzzer? Thanks all.
