OK, I made a few corrections and I may have interpreted what he was trying to say...

I got a call to price a tree job the tree job this morning. (<--period) The tree was a dead pine, (<--comma) leaning over a boathouse, (<--comma) an(d) the homeowner (did like the an he???????????? Huh?) said that he would do it himself. But if he does, he('s) foing going to to take a big risk and take out the boathouse or end up getting hurt.

Brillant mate, bloody brilliant

I think you mean "one of whom I stand in awe." Also, if we are going to be sticklers for grammar, what is your objection to a declarative statement ending in a period. Perpetual use of ellipses would get you in trouble in English class.

It's called stream of consciousness; a narrative device. Look it up.
Anyway, at least you understood it. You got me on ending the sentence with a preposition.
