I got called out to price a tree this morning

OK, I made a few corrections and I may have interpreted what he was trying to say...

I got a call to price a tree job the tree job this morning. (<--period) The tree was a dead pine, (<--comma) leaning over a boathouse, (<--comma) an(d) the homeowner (did like the an he???????????? Huh?) said that he would do it himself (<---one word, not two). But if he does, he('s) foing going to to take a big risk and take out the boathouse or end up getting hurt.

TL maybe: an(d) the homeowner didn't like that and he said that he would do it himself.

Treeman, what did you tell the homeowner? Sounds like he should get a pro in to do the job if he has any doubts!

treeman1640, I'm sorry. I'm honestly not trying to be rude and I don't think anyone else is either. This is just the 3rd or 4th post we've seen from you, and we've had trouble deciphering all of them. We'd love to help, and there is a wealth of knowledge on this site, but we have to be able to grasp what you're saying. As someone else mentioned, writing reports is an important part of being an arborist. I wouldn't say it's a necessity, but it's definitely one of the facets of being a complete arborist.

djm, I wasn't upset. I was trying to be humorous but I forgot my smiley face :)

It is not about being rude, it's common courtesy to take time and make sure sure one's post makes sense to the reader....as a reader we need to know what is being asked or if we can learn something from the thread...it's not difficult unless English is not the poster's first language, if this is the case here then forgive me and let us help with that.....

Treeman- tree logic is correct. There is a wealth of knowledge here. Capitalize on that.

So either it was a troll to start with, or all you schoolmarms frightened him off. Well dun.

"You got me on ending the sentence with a preposition."

Another BS Rule, "...up with which I shall not put." according to W. Churchill, a fairly literate person.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if it makes us think we're authorities.

A ranch kid from Wyoming went out to Harvard to go to college. He got to the campus and asked another student: "Where's the registrar's office at?"
"Here at Harrrvarrd," the student replied, "We don't end our sentences with prepositions."
After thinking for a moment, the kid answered. "Where's the registrar's office at, asshole?"

Wait a dude writes a roll on a public forum and expects to go unscathed....hmmm..then disappears...and folks defend that, I raise my kids by example, hope when they are grown adults they don't embarrass themselves writing like that....

Fair enough, all you had to do was say that...it's all good but i live in the tropics bro....chilling out is all I know...but I do like pulling chains.....lol
