Helmet Comms ?

Yeah we experience both of those things.

1. if we’re doing something critical then we shield the outside of the mic with a hand to prevent the noise canceling effect.

2. This happens sometimes. Not sure how to fix it. We just kind of wince and move on.

We had some “down time” the other day and I spent some more time messing with settings on the iPhone app. I was able to turn off a setting that was called something along the lines of “intelligent noise cancelling” (My app wont show these settings without my unit connected so I can‘t be exactly sure what it was called).

After 2 days with the intelligent noise cancel setting off the Cardo Packtalks have been much more reliable having a continuous conversation going without audio being inadvertently canceled. The only downside to that now is that when it’s a muggy 94 degrees like yesterday the heavy breathing was coming through on the headsets from everyone else... There are a few more toggles to adjust on the app like the mic sensitivity so we’ll try to find the optimum setting.

Bottom line at this point though, we’d rather have kept our SENA SMH-10’s over these although nobody is accidentally “bumping out” with the bulky volume dial that always disconnected us on the SENA units.

I found the bumping out to be way less tolerable than any of the issues with the Cardo. Especially with how long they take to re-sync

Wanted to update anyone who was following for the Cardo Packtalks. We were one click away from returning the Cardos and going back to our SENA SMH-10’s Since figuring out the settings and spending more time with them our crew has been very happy. The battery life and more specifically charging time has been awesome, instant mesh connection works great, and the new favorite has been playing music in the background...
