hello tree buzz i have an idea, question?????

hey tree buzz i was just wondering what you all would think if we had a section called root zone and fertilization or something like that....???? It would be a section all about ground care methods, fertilization, aeration, soil composition, proper mulching, air spading, root pruning, something along those lines. I am really aiming to improve on my tree care knowledge. It would be interesting to me and i would think others, to see what methods and applications you all use or tried. What do you all think?? Good idea or no????

great idea..
if nothing else , just to give emphasis to the roots and soil, a mucxh overlooked area for many pro arbs.. pretty much all suburban soil is compacted during construction, and pretty much all trees need more roots...

thanks tom. i really am enjoying treebuzz. it is great to talk with other tree guys. i am learning much here and everybody seems very nice and informative. I came up with ( THE ROOT ZONE ) . what do you guys think? Im open to any ideas. thanks for responding to my idea. really dig this site.

monkey love RHIZOSPHERE is the soil area immediately adjacent to, and affected by, plant roots. It should have a high level of microbial activity. not sure but maybe this could be the name of the section : soil structure and tree roots. : soil and mycorrhizae. :soil care, root care. : Look whats below. Beneath the trees. thats all i have right now. Old oak man thats a good one but people might be expecting another topic there. LOL!!!

Roots, the hidden limbs

I like Roots, the hidden limbs but Root zone matches the main list a bit better I think so it's got my vote.

Has anyone pm'd tom dunlap or anyone in charge to ask it's a pretty logical suggestion that shouldn't take much to initiate. So good luck with this I'll frequent it for sure when it comes around

isn't this already covered in pesticides and ferts, and bugs and crud? or could the names of these forums be changed. our Phc services are segmented into IPM, PHC, and soil remediation.
