Groundi vs. mini skid steer

[ QUOTE ]
Mini skid steers take smaller crews and make them more competitive to larger companies still humping logs.

AND...something that isn't talked about much, is the fact that the backbone of the minis is made of steel and hydraulics not calcium and flesh. MUCH cheaper and easier to mend or repair a machine than a person who injures themselves.

My back was out of whack in my early 30's from doing too much manual log moving. I got a Waldon front-end loader and a grapple to move big logs. My back stopped bothering me.

And I think you're better off getting a large skid steer... at least 6000 lbs... more productive than a mini.. gotta be able to tow it though.. that'll take a full sized pick up..

B4 buying a big skid, check out articulating machines

Big skids will rip up lawns, Articulating forwarders do not. They are truly the best choice for production residential tree removals.

Little more spendy then a skid, but ask any one who has run them both, I'd bet big, they would agree there is no comparison

I'm all manual so I'm only speculating. I like how easy you can get on and off the mini rather than climbing onto the seat of the articulating. I'm usually to tall for most vehicles as well so it would really suck.

Is this likely to change? Is there a reason that they aren't in the US?

[/ QUOTE ] They're a smaller company Tom and don't seem to really be interested in selling to the U.S. Funny though, Gehl slapped their paint and name on the Avant and sold quite a few of them.
