Tree climbing merit badge

From the article:

The "high adventure" badges, which are funded by The North Face, allow girls the chance to explore nature and try new activities including backpacking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, rock climbing and tree climbing. The activities are meant to build confidence, support for one another, risk-taking and time in nature.

That is so cool. One of my neighbor's daughters stopped by a couple of years back, selling cookies. I asked her if the Girl Scouts taught her to bake cookies. Apparently, they also have a Replying To Smart Ass Old Coots badge, as well. She said, "Nah... I think they're baked in China." I bought a couple boxes, anyway. She's probably working on her Invading Canada and Other Arctic Continents merit badge, by now.

My first sales job was in Boy Scouts. We could sell boxes of Fanny Farmer candy and earn our way to summer camp. I always sold enough to go for free. Learned how to make a sale and come up with quick replies like @JeffGu heard

She got her Warding off evil spirits badge by getting off your front porch in one piece too.
