Yes brummels are easy in this configuration but locking brummels are not so feasible (still possible but takes raveling the rope and rebranding.)
Remember locking brummels are essentially a lock stitch and weaken the line. That’s why ropes with brummel splices are derated ~20%

That rebraid method loses 40% of its strength, doing the math, a loop would have about 120% of the cords strength. One done with Tuck-Buries would be 178%, and certain soft shackles have a little over 200%.
The locked brummel can be done externally, instead of being inline, with the tails being spread to each side and buried, leaves a bump, but would be better looking and stronger than the rebraid method.

Oh, you've tired me out. I think I'll go to a friend's with the sewing machine and that's the end of the story. I thought it would be easier to do it with a single braid. Too bad. Maybe it's better to do it with a double braid too?
