gear storage

Does the courant cross pro have an internal frame on the back for the backpack? I can't get treestuff on the phone...

It would be nice if it does. The narheat looks nice and tough but, It doesn't look like it has an internal frame either. I'm not crazy about the metolius bags bc of the way you have to load and unload them.

The bag rocks. Mine is packed full and probably weight 100lbs. The only con really is that the shoulder straps aren't padded. I fit 200' of 12mm line. 2 blocks, 8 zip line runners, a 5:1 ma, large loupie, rope grab, beast whoppie, 3 ring, rig n wrench, rock pulled and sling, stein lowering device, couple steel biners, and another sling for the blocks, and a shizzle balancer. It's packed to the brim. Can't physically get anything else in it. Have to smash he pockets to get to zip. So far no issues with the seams or zippers. The padding on the back is helpful also. Plus it just looks bad ass. I probably missed some odd stuff I have in it also. But you get the point.

Steve, does it have a rigid support in the back or is it just padded?

So Steve, are you using the conterra for rigging and courant cross pro for climbing?

If so, how do you like the courant?

Courant questions - can you pull stuff out without unzipping the sides and unrolling it flat? Does it have double zippers on the ends so that you can unroll just one side and not the other?

Contrera question - does it get sloppy without the center stuffed with rope? In other words, does it hold its shape when the center is empty?

Courant is for climbing gear. I love it. The main issue for me is limited storage for gear so I have to be creative.

I don't carry any rope in it. Just saddle and climbing gear. Gaffs are in their own bag connected to the outside.
I will take pics today maybe and post them or both bags. Id rather not make a yard sale of the rigging bag and then repack it but for you guys I suppose its worth it.

It does have double zippered ends and you could unroll a single side. Also you can pull a random thing out but I never do. Pretty much everything is secured in mine so I prefer to just open it up. It has a semi-rigid back so It doesn't get sloppy like the terrible Sherrill bags. it wont collapse on you. I really like the bag. I have a ton of stuff in mine that I never ever use. Just a gear geek. I highly recommend it. At first I didn't like it and tried to sell it. The juy who bought it tried to screw me on the cash and ended up in jail, no because of me, but I did get it back and since it was dirty I figured I couldn't sell it so I was determined to make it work and I'm glad I did.

Depends on the saddle. Mcrs is a little too rigid and I have lot as of other stuff. You may be able to make I work. Well yes you probably can. I just have other stuff.

I think what makes me not be able to do it is the retrieval Line and bag and the throw line bag. Other than that I think you could. You'd just have to figure out the geometry of making it fit.
