gear storage

This is the most comfortable internal frame pack I've found. It has a wide belt that offers excellent support that many rope bags don't have. I also like that it's main compartment zippers all the way open (not just at the top) so that I can get to all of my gear easily. I can also flake 150' of rope easily into it if I'm feeling too lazy to coil it. Make sure you get the size that fits your frame. I'm 6'-5" and the Large fits me fine.

I use the DMM 70l porter bag. I've had it for going on 3 years now and its still holding up nicely! I've never thrown it from a tree but it once fell down a mountain and didnt have so much as a scratch! My buddy is near the end of his second Sherrill ropeboss bag in the time I've had this. It's 100% waterproof and with the flap top and straps I can store as many clothes as I want under it without losing any internal space. I do wish it had a few more outter pockets. I put a thick layer of some heavy duty tarp glue on the bottom when I got it to add to the durability. Added the little rope handle on the front and can't believe it's never once come undone. Inside I am able to fit 150' xtc, spikes, saddle, 100' imori, all climbing hardware, helmet, throwline, MA/tree pulling set up, omni block, and still have room. The thing I was most worried about with this pack was where the straps join the bag. I thought for sure they would give. Just about every seam at these unions has had the pvc crack but the straps are woven right into the webbing under the pvc. Awesome pack, very comfortable, very durable.

I've got them both. I love them. I have everything I need with the exception of a saw, gaffs and a rope in them. Took a little while to get the organization down and had to reduce the amount of gear I carry that I've never used but the are great. Combined 2 rigging bags into one with the conterra bag. Bit of a small rope compartment so I dropped a size on rigging lines. I can get 200' of line, beast rigging whoopsie and a porty in the rope compartment. Lots of stuff including 2 blocks, slings and speed line stuff in the side compartments. Oh yeah and my premise mechanical advantage set up.

Thanks Steve, I was debating getting both, lol.
I have all my climbing gear I. The conterra. Had for a few years, and it is holding up wonderfully. Saddle in main compartment, everything else in the side pockets. So many options for where to put little bits.

The courant looks great. I will get that next probly, I notice it is out of stock though.

Thanks Mac. I was thinking I would start with the Conterra and go from there. It's getting to the point that when I look for something it takes longer to find it than it did to buy it, never a good sign.

Okay so I decided on the Courant Cross Pro. Just ordered it today from somebody who actually had a few in stock. Thanks for all the input and also to Nice Guy Dave over at Ascension Group just incase he is on here under an alias.

Okay so now I ma getting the Conterra Reach bag. The suppliers inventory count was wrong but asked me if I wanted something else, wait or return payment. I asked for the Conterra and they are shipping it out at the same cost as the Courant. So I guess I will start with that one and go from there.

This is one sexy kit
