I agree that @oakwilt rants, and that ranting is consistent with insanity. However, ranting is also consistent with activism. @oakwilt establishes a goalpost that frames the debate. The other goalpost was established by reaganomics->Clintoncorporatization->religiousright/teaparty->dubya-dumbdown->vonclownsticking. The middle, in that context is so kuch better than it would be without @oakwilt. Before critizing him, we should end oppression of "them" - basically, non-white, non-males who put up with USA's white patriarchy in daily life. Sure, white males in the US can be great, but as a whole they suck.

I hate seeing the whites at NASA cheer another launch.

I hate seeing Paul Ryan selfies with his interns. I don't even have to mention that they're 99% white, right?

I'm concerned about @oakwilt. Unfortunately, the current environment makes it difficult to tell if he's crazy, or if he's responding commensurately to the crazy. The only way I can get to the bottom of it is to take ownership of what I can change by speaking with my money, my votes, and my vocal activism.

Is that cemetery segregated, or is it for a war where non-whites did not have equal rights? Why are they all white? Why are they all male? Did you sign up for Saluting Branches this year, to care for veteran cemeteries? I did, and I coordinated my sign up with a local veteran. I'm not sure if he was ever captured though, so maybe I paired with the wrong type of veteran... I'm sure none of the guys under those crosses were captured. If they were, you should Photoshop their crosses out. #sarcasmtopower

What a strange new world we live in. What's quoted above is the distilled essence of racism. Justify it however you want, rationalize till you're blue in the face; if you believe these things you are an unashamed and proud racist. Apparently it's not only allowed but cheered.

I wonder what the response would be if I had typed the same sentences as above except substituted "black" for "white". Surely I'd be banned, and with good cause. Because that would be disgusting. Trump really has exposed some dark truths about America, huh?

(Besides, who the hell hates guys at NASA cheering a launch? Would it be better if they were Hispanic? Better if the launch failed? WTF?o_O)

I don't hate the white individuals, @Bucknut , I hate seeing monocultures of white power, for white power's sake, where equality and fairness should be the baseline expectation. It tires me. It also bores me because I enjoy non-whites but they tend to run away from me because I'm white. I kind of feel blank when I see the latest achievement gained on the backs of non-whites. It doesn't have value in my soul unless the achievement happened in a venue of equal rights, fairness, and baseline decency.

The fact that NASA *is* so cool makes it more problematic. A non-white child sees that on TV and is imprinted with the fact that NASA is cool and white, so they cannot go to space like the whites. But hey, cheer for the whites... What a mental clusterf*ck. That is the implicit message. Since I like non-whites, I want to do my part to bring us, kicking and screaming, out of 1865 to a world where trees are removed by treemeks and saws are powered by battery, and everybody has opportunity, etc. In short, I wish to 2017 in 2017, right now.

The graves are WW2 in Brittany, Northern France. My point is that those white men fought against real racists and fascists, they died for you and you disrespect them by making broad sweeping statements against 'whiteness'

Your statement about enjoying 'non whites' exhibits explicit racism. You don't see the human you merely see the skin colour.

Judge people on the content of their character NOT on the color of their skin, their religion or any other arbitrary characteristic YOU want to ascribe to them and that includes white people.

Does it matter that Neil Armstrong was white? He was a human being.
