I had a customer who said "what trade war?" when I mentioned trump's first term, prior to the election. I said "don't you remember the news?". The faithful have blinkers syndrome.
 
I spent years building up my (regrettably rather small) retirement IRA. It was slowly steadily climbing all during Obama's and Biden's term in office. It stalled completely during Trump's first term. Now it has dropped almost $4K just since January, half of that just since his tariffs BS.

Jesus, the guy is insane! The Canadians will never stand for that. We can't annex Canada against their will. The GOP is going to have to muster up some backbone and stop this moron before he does irreparable damage. We can't wait for the midterms; that will be too late. This betrayal of our best allies and sucking up to our enemies is treason. I wonder if there is any truth to this stuff going around online that Putin may have something serious on Trump? Like Trump may have compromised himself when he was over there as a businessman. He is so vain and vulnerable to flattery, as well as vulnerable to any bimbo woman, that he would have been a very easy target for a honey trap for the KGB. And I don't think he would have given any thought to the consequences of aiding the Russians if he thought it was going to further some big business deal back then.

If I thought what Trump is doing was really beneficial to the American people and the United States as a whole I could maybe overlook some stuff, but he doesn't seem to have any cohesive strategy or plan. You're under the power of a man who may wake up tomorrow and nuke somebody on a whim. Yes, I know that is being very over dramatic, but the fact it wouldn't surprise me is what's truly terrifying.

I know organizers are already working up plans, but it will likely take a few months to get large masses of people to mobilize in unison

What gave me hope today is that Ann Coulter spoke up against this illegal deportation attempt. The guy didn’t commit a crime. The right to protest and the right to free speech are enshrined in our constitution. They can’t just disappear people because of their politics, what the hell are we letting happen here? So maybe finally the libertarians will stop hitching their pony to this whole fascist project and realize that if they don’t start speaking up for these infringements on our rights, then all our rights will disappear.

Don't forget lowering prices on Day One. That was a biggie with his MAGAts. They seem to have forgotten all about that now, even though they were ready to have Biden's head on a platter over it. Sarcasm, just what we need in a leader.
