Just goes to show where the MAGA people's minds are at, and that scares me more than The Duck himself. He is filling their weak mind with, kill the people who do anything that threatens his run.

The trouble is the Republican party wants to win the presidency, and their only hope of doing that this election is The Duck. As much as they don't want him, and the republicans in office don't want him, the party will back him.
The republicans are so screwed up right now. They had a reasonable platform at one time, but like Liz Cheney said, "Our problem is we keep electing idiots." Now we have a lot of idiots in government, on both sides. But the republicans have way more than their share at the moment.

while I usually find the arguments put forth by Dershowitz deplorable, I give him high marks on this one. His points are well presented and backed up by both common sense and historical precedent. The 14th ammendment was put in place specifically to prevent former confederates from taking ofice in congress after the civil war. Calling Jan 6 and insurrection is not even close. And the ammendment specifcally calls for the power to prevent insurrectionists from taking office to Congress, not the courts. And according to Dershowits, does not apply to the office of the president. The impeachmnet proceess is well suited to that task and requires 2/3 vote in congress etc... not a group of partisan judges moving to disempower millions of voters. Allowing a panel of judges to defne "an insurrection" is a slippery slope..
This is a short video, and well worth the time. And I specifically request all my lefty friends to listen, because these kinds of moves by Colorado are themselves a threat to democracy. How much sense does it make to support the destruction of Trump by any means necessary because you see him as a threat to deomcracy, by taking actions that themselves are a threat to democracy? If you care about preserving the rule of law and the consitution, you must support Trumps right to run for president in 2024. You have to support his free speech, his right to run a business, etc... Freedom either applies equally across the board for everyone or it doesn't exist. Going after Trump by crossing the constitution is very short sighted and dangerous.
 
While I agree with his right to be on the ballot, his right to run a business has nothing to do with the constitution. He has been found guilty of fraud in the State of New York for his illegal dealings with banks and lending institutions. New York has the right to suspend his business license, and I hope that will be part of the judgement along with heavy fines.
As far as the insurrection, I also hope he is found guilty. As far as attempting to bypass the Constitution and overturn the election, I hope he is found guilty. I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison, because he is a worthless piece of shit of a human being. But I will give you the ballot part of this deal. Under our current legal system, it should be left up to the people to not vote for that slimy piece of shit.

only the delusional conspiracy buffs like you believe that Jan 6 wasn't an attempt to thwart the legal, and peaceful transfer of power. People like you are not only a threat to our "democracy", but also the reason that real progress is so slow.

Obviously, you disagree. Don't worry, that's understood. That's why we have to have these processes in place, and why the threshold for proof is so high.

Did you listen to what Dershowitz had to say about the 14th ammendmant? Trump has not been given a fair trial, nor found guilty of involvement with an insurrection. If you really care about democracy, is it that hard to understand that allowing a panel of partisan judges to define what an insurrection is, without a fair trial or vote of Congress, is disenfancising millions of voters. This is about their rights as much as it is about Trump... PS I will never vote for Trump... I have sworn not to. So this isn't a maga perspective.. it's just common sense...

This video is calling for the release of Julian Assange... can we agree on that.. He's a journalist... His detention is an assault on free speech. Without free speech, there is no democracy. You might want to give Tucker a chance.. If you would have listened to him, you might have heard him talk about the reasons he was fired...

Trump could have pardoned Assange, which Bobby Kennedy has sworn to do on day 1 when he gets elected. The fact that trump didn't shows that he can't be trusted to drain the swamp... He had four years and its more of a open sespool than a swamp these days..
