Police arrest Tampa Bay man seen carrying Pelosi's lectern

Adam Johnson, the man seen smiling and waving at the camera while carrying the lectern of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the U.S. Capitol riot, has been arrested.

The newspaper reports Johnson is a stay-at-home dad who lives with his wife and five children. His prior criminal history includes possession of marijuana and violation of probation charges.

Legitimate question - when you post this picture, what are you trying to say? There are three possibilities:

1. Both radical elements are justified in violent tactics.
2. Both radical elements are unjustified.
3. Its the media's fault.

I flew to DC to protest Trump's inauguration. 1 million or more strong - zero arrests on that day. I support protests - but I decry radicalism. The day before, from across a park, I saw ANTIFA/Black Block with my own eyes light a limousine on fire on a public street - police instantly tear gassed, beat, arrested everyone they could get their hands on. I've forever hated and disliked their tactics as unpatriotic and self serving with no clear end goal.

I guarantee the majority of the protesters were peaceful on Jan 7. But the ones that did enter and attack are criminals.

To be clear, BLM is not a "radical" group. The idea that blacks Americans should be treated as equals to white Americans is not a radical idea. Language matters so let's get it right or we're just chasing our tails here. There are always agitators who are part of any movement and also agitators who infiltrate every movement. The asshats who attacked the capitol were all agitators. That's the difference. If you went to DC to participate in that rally, you're a domestic terrorist who is against the American democratic form of government.

Yeah. There were several photos and videos of those "patriots" crying like babies after they got gassed. I wouldn't fret too much about losing this battle to the Trump anarchists. They're mostly a bunch of fat pansies. Didn't 3 of them have heart attacks or something?

BTW this translation confused me a little and after some research I found this Article which confirms "Work makes you free" as suitable translation: Arbeit macht frei

It's not really surprising that the makers of these t-shirts don't know exactly what they're doing.

Breaking news. Trumps will start the new Twitter called "Trumper" soon. Approx. 74 million members are already stand back and stand by. Tweets are now Trumps and there will be no fake news at all (just a little alternative facts).

Here's a sobering thought...the following video of trump making a statement post capitol insurrection looks very much like a deep fake.


Both visual and auditory cues look/sound suspicious. His head and shoulders move in unnatural little pops. His neck line with his shirt collar looks edited. Nothing about this looks or sounds kosher.

I really don't know if this is indeed a deep fake but the fact is, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...it's probably a duck. Why am I worried about this? Because it's a new age of information tampering. Matt Stone and Trey Parker made a show highlighting just how damaging and easily making deepfakes is. They do it with childish humor but I think that's the point. Deepfakes can be harmless and silly, or involve presidents and fake insurrection response sentiments. These are dangerous times.

Nah, it is really him I think. He is totally capable of betraying his own supporters now that he is facing removal and very serious consequences after basically carrying this BS way too far. He is moving differently than his normal egotistical posturing and strutting because he is having to say stuff to save his own skin and of course he does not mean any of it at all. He is a devious a*hole and will continue to do everything he can to wiggle out of any responsibility and to undermine the next administration.

Totally Teleprompter Trump. All his teleprompter speeches look and sound that way. He's frustrated he has to read someone else's words. This was released on his Twitter account after the 12-hour lockdown. Are you saying he purposefully released a fake video of himself?
