False Claims of being a CA

One thing that comes to mind for me anyway, I don't expect an ISA certification to just be a minimum standard or bench mark.

Because the word "ARBORIST" is in it.

It shouldn't be that someone who barely has any hands-on experience or ability should be able to take the test and become a Certified Arborist.

Otherwise it would be better to call it something related to being Certified in KNOWLEDGE

It's the "Arborist" thing that really implies whoever is taking and passing the test ought to be someone fairly adept.

...

The ISA CA is a measure of knowledge, not daily practice.

Any idiot can study for, and pass, a driving license test but it doesn't mean they are a good, or even competent driver.

Same thing with the CA. Passing it merely shows one had that base level of knowledge.

It is what you do with yourself afterwards that makes the difference in whether or not being certified has any meaning.

Bottom line, you take the ISA CA exam and agree to abide by the conditions and policies therefore you must not be afraid to police yourself and hold accountable others who have also agreed, no?

The reason hacks get away with stuff is because they are allowed to.

Isn't it time people ponied up and took a stand to defend what they have worked hard for rather than bending over and whining.
