Color me crazy, but I find the senseless slaughter of 17 kids in Florida Vile. A grown man picking on the kids who survived this slaughter. Questioning their motive, and babbling on about conspiracies all because their movement doesn't fit into your view of the world. Pathetic and cowardly.
The simple truth is these kids ain't buying the bullshit you and your kind are selling any longer. They will vote soon. They will bring change. Gun control, Climate change, Equality no matter your race, creed, religion, sexual preference, ect. Out with the old, in with the new. It inevitable.

Why is it you have such a problem with someone pointing out true, verifiable points regarding a situation?
Why is it you choose to make something a personal attack when I simply point out things that truly stink?
Rather than discuss these questionable smelly items, you choose to start name calling & others threaten.

I think we disagree on the "why". Simply from personal experience, I have easy access to lots of guns. I've never murdered anyone. I think the "why" has lots more to do with fatherlessness, cultural and moral decay than guns. For your "movement" or "national moment" to be successful you'll need ALL the guns. Please just be forthright about it. There really is no compromise. Semi-automatic pistols are just as deadly as AR 15's in close quarters. They'll have to go too. That's what the kids want. That's what you want. Please just admit it. Then we can all at least move forward in good faith.

I think every one needs to chill out and act like men. People have different views and opinions. What’s lacking in anyone gaining any ground is resorting to attacking each other instead of focusing on issue at hand. Schools need tighter security. Our schools in my town.... small town Iowa! We have all doors get locked down except the main one during school hours and you have to go through the main office to get into the building during school hours. They are also implementing a school resource officer starting next year. He is a former veteran that I went to school with and I have no doubt that he would lay his life down for the kids. I don’t believe that banning any type of weapon or any capacitty of magazine will stop attacks. Evil will always find a way to be evil. There are no regulations that will prevent it from happening. Murder is illegal everywhere and people still do it. Protect your loved ones at whatever cost.

Hell yea they want more than a ban on bump stocks, but I don't recall them demanding everyones guns. Thats just the 2nd amenders showing themselves to be unwilling to any new gun control or compromise. Nobody is coming take away all our guns. Utter bullshit that will never happen in America. Universal background checks, and a ban on assault weapons.. Sounds fair to me.

I can compromise. But I don't think it'll be enough for them. Especially after these kids get everything they want and some jackass still shoots up another school. They'll want more. And they'll get it since the precedent has been established.
I'm cool with banning bump stocks and requiring background checks. (Is there somewhere you can still buy guns without a background check?)
I could even be convinced to vote for a universal 7 day waiting period. But not an assault weapon ban. Proven ineffective already, pistols are far more deadly in close quarters, and I don't trust politicians to define the term. Hell, all weapons are assault weapons potentially.
Worth remembering that when the 2 A was drafted, ALL guns were "military style" assault weapons.
