Back to the topic at hand: #enough. Seems every weekend its the same damn headline:
I'm interested in why this keeps happening. And how to stop it. Not trying to re-stir the hornet's nest, but its impossible to ignore the fact that Chicago has some seriously strict gun laws.
I would say......... they're not working.
Maybe listen to the police Supt? Enforce actual consequences for breaking the law? IDK. Too many kids without dads, no appreciation for life, too few kids taught the importance of simple kindness.
Not to get all sappy, but I think what I've always been most proud of in my kids is their natural instinct toward kindness. (I always take credit, not sure if I've earned it.)

Maybe much stricter domestic relations law? Dramatically lower the bar to lose custody, at least temporarily? Chronic truancy, domestic violence, and drug use are common denominators in the homes of most of these shooters.
I doubt most of the “mothers” would even care.
