So the moral taught in that vid is that profit motivations lead to good things, and when absent, leads to bad things?

So the greedier you are, the better you do?

Is this a John Galt moment? Or Ayn Rand's brand of objectivism?

The common factor tying those two together is fictional fantasy characters and writers.

What does usury mean to the objective world historically in fact?

1970, the typical CEO makes 35 times more than his average employee, and the middle class grew in size thriving.

Today's CEO's make 350 times more than their average employee, and the middle class is shrinking, we are 16 trill in debt, and these same CEO's buy our govt with their ill gotten usurous greed stained fortunes.

When corp fortunes gained free speech equality with individual US citizens bundled or not, their monetary advantage when bundled, guarantees defeat for citizens of the vast majority of the country.

When corps can go multinational in search of the cheapest possible labor source, as well as decouple themselves and their new foreign laborers from paying any taxes to the US govt as they had to in 1970 using American labor?

Well, let's just say it don't take Sherlock Holmes to determine that our govt's current debt has corp greed written all over it.

Greed is neither good, or becoming of a true christian, or atheistic American.

It's a genuine loser all around, in my opinion.

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

so what is your solution to this ? you seem to be against people making money . so what plan do you have to make things better and different from the system we have now ? i hear you complaining but no solution ....... ???

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

That's because the solution is self evident historically speaking.

And tea partiers don't know their own history.

Do you really think Dwight D was a left leaning socialist who didn't believe in capitalism?

No, he was a good conservative president that knew the difference between profit and usury.

War profitteering was a shameful prosecutable crime in that America, that we badly need to return to.

Today's tea partiers couldn't tie Dwight D's combat boots.

I think my point was - there are different points of view out there and it's fun to see other ways of looking at things...

Oh I agree the tea party point of view is utterly fascinating, from a clinical psychologist's perspective.

I myself think either Patton or Eisenhower would slap them silly before packing them off to Leavenworth as traitors.

Why would any patriotic American want to empower communists and dictators after so many of our soldiers died fighting against them?

For a buck?

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

I wish John Galt would pack away 'The Captains of Industry' to there little secret fantasy world so they'd get the hell out of politics.

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

this is an orgy of bad ideas and bad information! makes me wanna hurl!!!
Jomoco , it sounds like some tea party dude stole your freaking lunch money or something go get a tissue ..quit sniveling already!!
Although its obvious you wont ....you seem to love the sound of your own voice!

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

What I gathered from watching that video is that huge sums of incentive do not motivate as well as the desire to contribute to the greater good or purpose. I assume it was statistically accurate coming from MIT.

I thought it was VERY interesting :).

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

You guys just don't get it. This is a nation of laws, not egotistical sociopathic old men working their wills on the weak and stupid.

Civilizations laws are meant to protect the weak and provide peace and security in one's home dang it.

When the weakest citizen can have his livelihood and rights sold out from under him to the lowest bidder in communist China?

What friggin planet do you tea partiers come from?

What country did your fathers defend with their lives against communists?

Psychologically speaking, who do you........think you are?

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

ok here is the problem ......I actually agree w the first3 statements.......then you take a sharp left turn w the tea party thing!!!??
You are just flat out wrong about that....maybe some doofusses co-opted "tea party"???!! But the folks I know that are in a local grass roots tea party are standing up for those first 3 statements.....The simply are.....THis is why this dicussion frustrates me so much...
oh well........youve been programmed...what cha gonna do?

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

Are your goals compatible with the Koch Bros?

Are your neighbor's?

Are you against war profiteering?

Are you pro-communist?

Re: end of free speech signed into law by Obama

Last I heard from both the Koch Bros and the tea party, they are firmly committed to "free trade" with China.

But there again so is Obama.

It's what clinton, bush, obama and romney all agree on that's ruining this country.

Obama ain't a true democrat, and Romney ain't no true conservative.

And we are so screwed because of it.

Which party will find its patriotic backbone first Taitree ole pal?

Hey Poetmk,

The vid to me clearly illustrated that individuals like, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates could take their innovations developed and proven here, offshore and exploit low wage foreign communist labor pools to gain an unfair advantage over their competition here at home patriotically using an American labor force, paying taxes to our govt.

When our children inherit a 16 trill debt load from us, is that not a very tangible and real form of indentured servitude my friend?

Do you disagree with my analysis of your vid's morality of exploiting the innocent?
