DRT

Dmc I think you are misinterpreting the whole concept. Just like srt, it's nothing new and it's not for every tree or place.

My finding though is that in certain situations it is awesome. And the headache is not that much relative to what it brings. When appropriate. Being able to manage two lines easily has been a challenge and a hurdle. Now, I have an extra weapon in my arsenal that I am able to deploy with ease. Which I could not have said before. Beleive me, that whenever the second line becomes a burden, I drop it. Often I pick it up again later.

I have not tried this and just put it out there but would this be a way to have your cake and eat it too? You would still have to get someone to release the base anchor or go down and do it yourself. Adjustable climb line lengths, easy on-easy off, cinched or not cinched, two climbers or one climber on two lines etc.

Yoyoman youyoudaman! The stuff you show and ideas you brainstorm are awesome! Hope that does something good and has practical applications . Can't wait to see what comes!

Tried this today, I think I trust a prusik pretty well. There is a little movement depending on the line taking the load.
When it came time to descend I just broke open the prusiks a little and let them chase my rope runners down making it easy recovery from the ground.
To make the whole thing work and be recoverable from the ground a real DRT climb could be implemented.
Today I did a redirect, descent straight down on line 1, line 2 bypassed the redirect then pulled back to the stem by line 2, recovered the runner and line 1, returned back to the TIP and down. (and a few other things)

I don't know yoyo ..if you descend on a spar or trunk wood with no union for the rope to be over Would that rope provide safety ? The remote reteival option is always a plus feature . Not a necessity. That looks like one limitation . I suppose a link pear or delta could be implemented into there, bit the singing tree link is a nice touch. On smaller diameter TIP shorter cordage of prussik s could remove some slop. Overall its cool.

Got to have a union if I understand what you are asking correctly.
Yep, the Singing Tree prusik is very cool and this seems the perfect application for it along with the sliding Sterling prusik that can be snugged down on the pin.

Haven't we all been waiting for the carabiner that can be used in a cinch without side loading? Delta/Oval links are rad, but the slick pin is also rad.

The triple threat is a crazy idea. Luke is in love with all the colors though, and I cant seem to convince him otherwise.

Kevin didnt invent it thats for sure but he and his guys gave us feedback, (Kevin doesnt like, Mike and Jermey use em though).

I know a couple other people using them, that like them, and I can see some uses. Time will tell if its an idea people like. No shame in making it with the rope on hand with a delta link. Wont drastically reduce performance.

I dont like the two oval quicklinks in the single eye, that seems like a mismatch to me.

The triple threat can be pretty awesome if you get the process down. I would like it to have the option of coming apart. You can do a lot of cool things with it. Mike who I work with loves it and has worked out the kinks. It can be very slick if deployed right

Bing, one of the things I have always admired about you is that you can be very objective/knowledgeable and put most bias aside. (not just a sales pitch or fooled by the glimmer, not that there is anything wrong with sales and I do like glimmer)

I love DRT:

Here is a little clip from today. Giving the roof some clearance. I was able to work pretty much everywhere over the roof with the two redirects and not have to reascend ever. Up and down
Kevin, are you still running the 2 bridge/2 swivel system?
