Credit cards

Just wondering what people are using to accept credit cards? I have had a lot of people ask more and more frequently. I don't love the idea of losing 2-3% of the sale, but money in the bank the day after completion has its benefits.....

Check out "square". Super easy, no contracts or sign up fees. No monthly fees or rentals. Money is in the back in 2 days. 2.75%/sale. I think thats nothing to not have to track down a client or wait for a check.

Even if I did 100,000.00 in sales on it, that's 2750.00 in fees. That's it. Small price for quick payment.

Agreed, and you can make that back in a day with a well priced and executed job. Then your all set for the year. Also, many people receive points on their cards for purchases, and they want to use the card to get the points.

Exactly, with most most of our clients it's either a convenience or (points rewards) reason for using a card. Good feedback I had looked at square but sometimes things look so easy I think, how can it be that easy?

And Jason, it could be your competitive advantage over the competition. Imagine, telling your clients they can now get points on their tree work!

I'm curious if the option of paying with a cc might have more customers schedule a job, schedule a full job vs splitting it up, or adding a service like stump grinding where as they might not of if they didn't have enough money paying cash or check.
