Do the Romans/Saxons...etc. need to apologize to the descendants of the Picts and their kin at the same time?

We can look at the past but don't stare.
We can visit the past but don't live there.
 
Current research indicates that we all came from Africa, so why don´t we just all return there

I think the idea is to learn from past mistakes by cutting through the revisions of them that were presented to us in grade school. To shine the light on policies that made America the great possible, I could see a chipper/bucket combination that attracts my attention and approach the crew, offer them to walk away from it so I could have it, and kill them if they don't. If any attention were payed to my methods of acquisition, I'd be excused by stating "I worked hard to get this rig, so leave me alone", and they would, even though I broke some laws...because I did this last year.

We're here and now with what we got, no matter who we are. Colors are changing, even the air we breath is different. No longer is the welfare recipient black with six kids but white, Protestant, with an MBA. The "evil, snake-eyed serpent" of the Japanese of WW2 poster fame is now our friend, the "big-nosed hairy greedy Jew" of the late thirties' German sensibilities is now back in business and has a homeland, lives next door and his kids play with ours.

I think often we should look back purposefully, not unlike what we know could happen if we climb a red oak and commense working around the live 14,000-volt wires that route right through it's canopy, inches from our tools and humming loudly "reminding" us what it's bite could do. It's memories that guide us everyday or we'd be forever in innocent infancy of ignorance, brought on by never having been shown, taught, or experienced.

It wasn't until late grade school or maybe Junior high that I found out Henry Ford didn't invent the automobile or the Wright brothers weren't the first to fly...little details but impacting on my views about what they teach us and the start of my perceptions about truth, delivered by authority. Vietnam finally sealed the deal but I learn slower than most, faster than some. If I was younger and back in eight grade now, I would've supported invading Iraq and cheered when we bombed Baghdad but I'm cursed with memories that transcend the official history of these United States, and I'm only middle aged, not 150 years old.
 
yeah its funny that after a few times of discovering that what they told you in school was a load of manure, its hard to believe anything about the past anymore. Its crazy how easy it seems for history to be written and rewritten. all in the way the person that tells it tells it. palimpcest (i forget the spelling)
 
It's why Iraq Veterans Against the War weren't allowed to march yesterday in the Veteran's Day Parades in Cleveland, Miami, or San Antonio. They don't want the young'ins to know how off base our realities are.

But that's going to change, soon.
 
Im not sure I agree with this war or not.But I respect the sacrifice the soldiers have made.Most of them had no choice they are just obeying orders.I sure the Kurdish people benefited from this war(they can continue on this planet as a race with saddam out of power)Guess they dont matter much to most.I figured tree guys would know who they are considering saddams croneys like to put them thru chippers.Know all the facts not just a politcal biasness or all these cospiracy theories that cannot be proven.
 
with some of the things that spew forth from some of the pie holes around here I would have to agree with that.............but then again if the wives married us arent they crazy as well???!!
