The elongated bollard lasts over twice as long as the adjustable. It's been the only device that I've climbed with for the past three or four years.

Sorry if I missed it, but I would recommend the RE Nano Swivel upgrade. Surveyor sent me a couple with them installed. Cat’s meow. Thanks @Treezybreez, @Muggs, and @AdkEric. I appreciate the input. Just ordered the BDB with the elongated bollard, and I'm really looking forward to having a Bone back in my life!
Another virtue of the BDB. The rider can choose between the teardrop or swivel, and switching is a relatively easy task.i went back to the teardrop, i like the peace of mind… will try the elongated bollard though.
I'll try that thanks@SeanRuel keyed me into using a Quickie for bridge connection vs biner which is works perfect for me and shorter bridge compact setup. Lots of run-out pruning so having the bone within easy reach is clutch.
Tending from the top pivot point at the very rear of the upper arm works a treat too.I also preferred tending from the hole in the spine when I had a BDB a few years ago…
is the xstatic newish? i found that with a new bone/new wear parts you need a new rope for the bone to perform. when it‘s worn in any old hank of xstatic will be gold…My new Bone saw some action the last 2 days on a hank of Samson Hyperclimb and some Xstatic. It was silky smooth and lovely on the Hyperclimb, but gawd awful with the Xstatic. It was way too grippy, tending slack like shit, and just sucked the flow right out of my climb. Not a combo I will be using in the future.
