Yes, I’ve used one of my wife’s elastic hair ties for this. A simple girth around the working end and clip to the Bone. Good to go, just not the most robust, long term piece of kit. I’ve been meaning to make something a bit nicer, just haven’t been able to make the time.Yes, the elongated bollard swivels in place on rope and has 2 wear faces (it is non adjustable). Muggs demonstrates nicely how the Bone can function MRS. It can help to have a monkey paw type attachment on your bridge to terminate the down line, to give a bit of separation. I have had success also making it self tending on ascent , by attaching a rather loose girth hitched lead to the down line, attached to the top tending point. It has to be a bit slack to allow the Bone to engage.

didn't see any instructions to in the last 5 pages.
(The Bulldog Bone, I mean.)
Forgive me if you already know, or if it’s updated, or whatever…watch that swivel on your bridge, brother. I rocked the nexus for a spell as well and really loved it. Ended up going to an earlier DMM design on one saddle and trying out a Hydra for size on another.View attachment 89870

Makes sense to give that a try. I like a DMM Rhino for doubled because the horn keeps the bone from falling out of place and potentially side loading while advancing. Still haven’t used the Hydra yet. Just got it. Maybe tomorrow…Thanks Eric, this one just got back from extended vacation at DMM. I usually have the gyro on my bridge but I switched it out and put it directly on my bdb as an experiment to see if it would help with doubled rope setups. It doesn't. Going to switch back. Love the gyro on the bridge....
