Compact Bulldog Bone

Hope you all have a blessed New Year.
Ben, I still have some of the second batch of Bones in stock, should be no problem with getting another sent out.
Thanks, Gordon

Mac can tell us best about Imori. He was running the BDB full time on Imori in the beginning I believe, and still may be.
am still running the bone mostly on imori. The thing I've begun to notice is that they don't perform well together when the rope is wet. Not sure why. Tend not to worry about it too much. As I have tachyon as well, which interfaces really well with everything. Great overall rope. Work horse.

I've been thinking about trying something staticish. Anyone tried the 13 mil htp?
What's that in your vid there Tyler? Couldn't get a good look at it.

Luna has not been very good for me either. Though I really like the low stretch ropes. Was thinking about Cougar or Imori. Tree gear truly is a bit addicting. It is worth the money to me to keep the body comfortable, mind confident and efficient. My wallet does not like this. It frowns upon me in general.
For what it's worth my Luna, which was a little old, held OK on the BDB, with just a slight creep, but looked like it was losing fibers. I swear I could see fluorescent green flakes floating in the air.

I wish i still had my 13mm HTP, awesome rope. that was a long time ago, way before the bone. I think that my 11mm HTP is my all time favorite static rope. That was NE escalator in the video. Very light static rope. Its up there with the HTP.

Is the Tachyon that you're all referring to the New England or the Teufelberger?
If it's the NE, which colour is preferable?
Thanks
Al.
The two may have done a merger on some stuff . I would call tachyon a n.e. rope .? I bought a hank of the orange and black cause it was .75 cents a foot on sale at the time. I'm a cheapass. I would a rathered a green combo for life line I like greens . Don't know how substantial a difference you'd encounter in performance from different color schemes , I'm pleased with the tachyon I'm running now . Treestuff.com will have it.

New England Ropes and Teufelberger are now one in the same. Check them out here: http://www.neropes.com/Interim Page Alternate.html

I doubt you will see much of any difference with any color pattern and its inherent performance in the Bone. I would choose based on the amount of visibility you're after. Like TTF said, the green/blue is a good choice in the tree. It shows up well, but alas, my eyes are so poor at seeing color, I used to think it was yellow. LOL! With rose tinted safety glasses, I can see it as super-mega-slap-you-in-the-face green, but I don't always have them on. I used to rock the orange/blue and I like that as well.

As far as color goes, this is an interesting discussion, perhaps for another thread, because there is a difference in the ropes. A manufacturer will not "say" there is because the recipe is the same as far as fiber content, weave, etc. The difference lies in how much coloring dye the fibers pick up in order to achieve the color tone they want. This means that some colored ropes may be slightly larger or thinner in overall diameter only because of how much material was absorbed.

The big thing about Tachyon that makes it work so well is the inner-most core of 3 additional strands. That core keeps the rope rounder as it bends over things and attributes to the nice overall performance in the Bone and Rope Runner. William Shakespeare, formerly of N. E. Ropes, brought that design to us. Thanks, Will! We got Lars now!
