Compact Bulldog Bone

Try making ur bollard "fixed"- as in gluing it so it doesn't roll or some other way from keeping the bollard from rolling....

I can't see this working well since the bollard needs to be changed at some point. An epoxy would not be easy to release and heat release adhesives like red locktite, would probably release from the heat of a long fast descent.

Great idea Paul! And I think I speak for all of us when I say thank you for volunteering to get a wiki up and running....when can we expect to see it up and running? :D

I second this...Paul get the ball rolling...speak with Tom and Mark...so glad that you have offered...what a champ...very few like you these days....selfless...great name BTW...

Almost four weeks waiting for my BDB and...nothing! Going through hell with the Italian post office. Departed on the 5th of February. It took five days to get to Italy and finally at the post office in Rome on the 27th of February. I finally feel a little more relaxed as they kept the bone at the CSI Customs of Milan for more than two weeks...then Saturday and Sunday they don't work just to read that the bone was sent back to Milan again...I had it 1 mile far from home but they never came to deliver it!!! So I called all the numbers I knew. They said the terminals were messing up the last reading saying that it didn't go back to Milan. I've been personally to the post office where they claim it should be and they kept sending me up and down from one place to the other...I spoke to managers, 800 numbers, call centers and everything I could, also filling a complaint and another one by phone...I really don't want to think it this way but I'm pretty sure they lost it...I thought after a month I would get it...Not the case! F#@K Italy! Crooked mentality, crap attitude, stupid and useless country!

You cruel task masters - now look what you made me start:

Get a git account and start editing folks. It really is just a start and really needs lots of help to make it useful.

If it becomes useful, I'll put it on my hosts - and I might just buy a domain for it - Gordon, your choice - I don't want to tread on toes, infringe etc etc. bonewalkers.info?

One rope, one bone, one biner. What else do u need?

True... Just a thought

in addition to a sammich every now and then, we need a reminder to test tending points with different rope configurations with the decapasitated test.

I really can't wait for spring, I have so many ideas I want to try. I really think that length variations of the spine may allow for many of the skinner ropes to be used. I also think that a small profile on the friction face may help with small diameters.

I was thinking about something similar...I think...
I was trying to imagine the effect of the spine had another link in it, or if the spine was shorter and the connection to the upper arms was done with a longer link.

If the holes on the spine were offset instead of centered, the lower arm could be as adjustable as the upper.

I have made myself a spine with thicker stock and the holes are off centre... No tether hole at all. Not had time to test it properly yet but will report back.
