Climbers for Christ

Paul Hedderly, I don't know what in the hell TC is talking about. You certainly don't sound like you're off your rocker to me. I guess it doesn't matter how intelligent you are, once you reveal your belief in creationism you're an idiot. :nocausagracia:
Brilliant response BTW.
Oh yeah, and TC (Grover), you are one confused individual.

Huh? Folks were talking about religion, the bible and the word of Jesus, and that happens to be the quote that I believe humanity should live by. Frankly, if you could take one thing from Christianity, that would be it for me. The WE I refer to is the human race. I live by that quote, but sadly many don't. Take a look at the state of the planet earth right now. We're not even close.

My apologies. Fair enough. You're right. That philosophy is definitely thrown by the wayside too often these days.

In my life the Big question is answered so clearly in witnessing Providence in every aspect down to the smallest detail. Out of the 7,299,625,805 people in the world I was lead to the woman that is perfect for me! Knowing me, I could not have done that on my own. In the same way - I see Divine Providence in the way the Bible has survived here on earth for thousands of years through devastating times and has been protected word for word all this time. Looking back on Divine Providence is where that guidance can be seen most clearly. How and Why did I get to where I am today? How and Why was the Bible protected? I know there can never be a clear cut answer and we are left in freedom to believe or not to believe, but it is there if you look for it. + It's a good way to live your life...knowing who created you. ;)
You can understand why the answers are not all clear as day - everyone would have to believe...He wants us to choose for ourselves.

This is the way I see it, and it works for me. Thanks.

Pelorus, you may like the work of John Gray, he criticises the atheist/secular agenda of Hitchens and Dawkins and other prominent atheists in these books - Straw Dogs in particular (no relation to the Dustin Hoff film) is a very interesting read.

Sweet!!!!! Climbers for Christ!! I have to read through some of the posts on here at some point! ;) Amen to what I've seen so far though, if I can bring God into my real life than its pointless! It's all just a bunch of religious mumbo-jumbo garbage!! That's why am all for things like talking about work and faith and discussing it together and just dialoguing as we all walk through life...it's very encouraging to hear other people sharing ;)

Thanks,
Ken

PS would someone mind telling me the answer to the masterblaster tree forum question who built the first Ark? wasn't it Noah? Is it some sort of trick question? Because I cannot even contact the administrators of the website without knowing the answer?

My guess is that it's a question that just needs some sort of response to keep robots from sending private messages to the administrators. It's the administrators way of proving you're a human before allowing the message to go through. Hope that makes sense.

...but you better not get it wrong! or else!

Weird because I typed in "Noah" and was rejected... I underestand what you're saying though, but it's still not working, I just tried the word "me" seriously! am I missing something...I'm starting to get a feeling that in the end this is going to make me look really stupid! Again I understand the "robot" issues...try it yourself (contacting administrators)

This is from our daily bread this morning:
Romans 8:14-17New International Version (NIV)
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[a] And by him we cry, “Abba,[b] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spiritthat we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
