Hey Boo,
Thanks for coming to the CAA's NC TCC, we appreciate it. Hopefully next year you can get in and compete, we'd love to have you. At the end of the day, the CAA did offer to sell extra "Judges" shirts, but you are right we didn't have any for the general public to buy.....next year I believe we are going to try to have shirts available for sale, thanks for the feed back.

Who's got the pic of Matt rolling around in the money! Hahahahaha good job matt. Here was my prize, Dang Jimmy!

Hey buzzers, Sorry I missed North Carolinas event. I'll be there next year. Congratulations Matt!! Thanks to Rat and Kevin Bingham for representing MI and for letting me talk to everyone. Bingham took second overall and I know he'll rock at Michigan this year.
I'm in Springfield MO starting a monthlong internship with Noel Boyer from the Midwest Chapter. Super good guy.
Anyway see you all in Hawaii.
Hope to see you later this week Rich Whiz

Thanks to everyone invovled with NC's TCC, I personally had a blast. It was great to meet everone who came from out of town and out of state, we really appreciate it. I look forward to helping you guys out with your comps. It looks as though Easy phloem and I have some major road tripping in our future. Can't wait!

And yes No Bivy, I do have pictures of Mattskee rolling in the dough! I'll get them up soon!

I will try to get the scores posted as soon as I am able and others will have to get the pics posted. Seeing as how I was under the tent and behind the computer, I have no idea of how people climbed. But I heard it was a great comp.

Peace,
The scorer

Well...well....well......

So it appears that I have egg on my face because I promised that the sun would be shining, and that the weather being nice was one of the first things that we took care of in preparing for the TCC.

The truth is, I was not being honest with you guys. I cannot, nor was I ever capable of, controlling the weather. I apologize.

In spite of the brutally

cold weather (barely above 40 F),

We all had a great time watching the climbing and cheering for the climbers in the masters challenge!

Here is a pic of the Champion Matt Hodges taking a money bath!

Guys... I gotta say, I had a great time yesterday. Many thanks to all the sponsors, judges, techs, scorekeepers, and everyone who made this years comp go over so darn smoothly. I never done a comp where I finished all 5 preliminary events by lunch! I guess the chilly weather kept everyone on their toes. Congratulations to Mr. Hodges also on a Masters Challenge completed with style, grace, and ye old school blake hitch

Do what you gotta do Matt. Congratulations also go to all the first time competitors. I look forward to seeing everyone again at the Southern.

ps-take care of that hand Bivy, Arkansas is right around the corner

Congratulations to Matt. I had the pleasure of working on the ground under Matt last spring and I gotta tell you that his climbing was a different animal than the sloth-like approach(climbing by osmosis) that I use. If it could be a Heartwood guy then Matt was next best thing. Totally cool to see some $$$ getting thrown into the mix.
Additionally it really makes me proud to see where Heartwood has gone after 25 years of my association with Patrick. Good job all of ya's.
P.S. if you guys would move the compitition to a pleasant month say April maybe I could attend. I get all the cold weather I want these days.

April sounds good to me.

actually, a two day event sounds good to me....with 40 + climbers,

head to head footlock.........

Rob Bramblett in his banana hammocks.....

No wait, everything but the disturbing image of Rob parading around in a neon green bikini bottom.

Yeah, April or May.

We can make it happen.

BIG thanks to all the treebuzzers who came down and helped out (19 of us helping to run this last TCC).

Maybe we can get 50+ Treebuzzers down here next year.

One of the coolest thing about the comp was Meeting all the treebuzzers that I have known for the last couple of years by their screen names and finnally putting a face to them. Really great time and a grade A performance by everyone. Very smoothly run, great trees, great climbers, great attitudes. Man, a lot of fun

I had a great time this weekend. Thanks to Stephan and Morice and everybody else there for the best competition I've ever been in. It was definetely educational in lots of ways. i.e. Don't bring Kyle out into public anymore!

Heres a shot with most of the Buzzers who stuck around till the end. Treescaler and WWTcrew are two I know missed the photo. Maybe next year!

Salud!!!

I dont think there was a group photo which is too bad. I had the great pleasure of being in the same group as Lucas though and watch him climb. Very graceful and smooth.
