We are trying to get people to stay at the DOubletree hotel in Uptown Charlotte. You can put 3-4 in a room, and it is $89.00 a night for the room (these rooms are normally about $130-140.00 a night). Friday and Saturday night I plan on staying there, and the bar/ restaurant at the Doubletree will be the scene of much partying on Saturday night before the Masters. On Sunday night, we will no longer have that room deal, so anyone staying for the masters who wants a place to stay, I got a big house with couches and floor space, and we can camp out, have a bonfire, all that good stuff.

Re: Charlotte Arborists Association\'s 16th Annual

For those you don't know "HighAngle" ....

He won the MI TCC a couple of year's ago.
He's been out of action for over a year, but now is back. He's very smooth & was a plesure to watch coming down out of the MI TCC WC last summer, after Tree Tech'g all day !!!

Re: Charlotte Arborists Association\'s 16th Annual

I too will be staying at the Double Tree Inn, not only is it the TCC but it is also my wedding anniversary. No need to bring gifts or any thing, really. Unless it's a Hitch Climber, I really want one of those.

Is it just me, or is the CAA after the Southern Chapter TCC in Knoxville??

Cause I thought the winner is sent to the chapter comp.

[/ QUOTE ]

After 15 years of crappy weather in February, the CAA decided to change the date to April, which mean that in 2008, we will not be sending the North Carolina champ to the Southern Chapter. However, this year's NC champ will represent in the Southern Chapter TCC in 2009.

We are hoping that mid April will be much warmer, and much more conducive to public involvement.
