cdl for bucket truck

And here in CT Holden, we need a CDL if it has air brakes, regardless of the weight. I see a lot of "non-CDL, 25,990 GVW, air brakes" tree trucks advertised, but that won't fly in CT.

Holden, you can download the entire CDL training manual from our DMV's website:

Figure out what license you want (need), study up just those sections, go pay a small fee ($70?) and take the written test and you're halfway there! Then you just need to find a buddy to loan you a truck to take the test in (sometimes that's the hard part) and you're home free! Much easier than most people make it out to be, and waaaaaay cheaper than paying several thousand $ to one of those schools.

Halfway there??? Technically yes,
Come on, Gorman, I'm trying to motivate the kid, give him some encouragement! Many people see a CDL as such an intimidating thing, and I don't think it needs to be. Sure they can jam you up, but if you study up and practice a little, you'll get there.

You are correct, they are a bunch of jack offs, and depending on which one you get can make or break your test. But like I said, if you know the material and know how to drive, even if Dickhead #1 fails you, you learn what he gigged you on, then go back and take it again and hopefully Dickhead #2 will pass you.
