you guys came up with it, I just put two suggestions together, that's all.
so MattyD, can we take a sawz all to that double ascender of yours?
I don't have much if any of Kong stuff, but I may have just learned all our cheap stainless biners we use for speedlines that we have on loop runners might be kong, I just saw a sale on Baileys in my e-mail on them, and they look like ours. crap!
Everyone on this thread should go to: http://www.kong.it/contacts.htm
and send multiple emails to Kong regarding this matter.
Lets inform the rock climbing and rescue folks about this as well!

Why thank you X. I've been reading alot on this site the last week or so. This is the first thread that I've responded to so far. I look forward to gleaning from the wisdom that is quite evidently in my fellow tree workers!

After keeping up with this thread for a while I dove through my gear bag looking for unrated or unmarked gear. I came across 2 delta links and a twisted clevis all of which have been used for life support at one time or another. They were all bought from reputable dealers, should I continue to use them?
I've never bought any Kong gear (I don't know why other than I just never got a good feeling about Kong and now I'm glad I trusted my intuition). The problem for me is my trust in all gear has been dented. Thanks Kong - Your company will never get a dime of my hard earned money if I have anything to say about it!
Maybe rather than mailing in the goods (which I admit would be a waste of our money), it might be good to shoot a little vid of Kong gear being hacked, then put it up on youtube.
I have one 'biner and 2 rings that are theres. I think that's it. stay tuned for the vid!
