broken ring and funny world

Huge success this week at TCIA. Mainly due to Jeremy Brown taking care of business. A big thanks to all that contributed. Ended up with a few bucks extra so I'm going to be purchasing some QUALITY gear from dmm and shipping it out to Jay Butcher.

Meeting Jay was like a breath of fresh air. They don't make people like this guy anymore.

Stay safe kids.

Ps. If you're interested in purchasing a tshirt after the matter I save all of the screens and can literally print in almost anything. No profit is made from these productions so get creative and enjoy the price break Yo.

They are really nice shirts, a great color blue. Everyone asked what it meant, and I enjoyed telling people that KONG cares not for the lowly tree climber.

Classic. That's actually a great idea. I had an opportunity to talk with Jay a bit last night and we had talked about such an idea. Jay said, and I'm not bsing, that he feels gracious in the fact that he is still very capable of working and if there was any type of "fund" to be established, it would be for those who weren't as fortunate as he, who weren't able to make it back to work to try to get their heads above water (I told you this guy just isn't wired like most people. Dude blew me away with his selflessness. He was actually glad it happened to him, so that the recall could take affect and it very well may have saved someones life)

So. Back to your point. I'm all for printing more shirts as a non profit. I'm all for legally establishing a non profit for the greater good of tree care and our wounded arborists. But I'd need to know that there will be a following and man, I can't do it on my own.

Also, as happy as I am to throw Kong further under the bus, I'd like to print shirts other than the current ones. Legally I'm scared. I refused to sell any shirts unless I knew who they were. I refused to tell people how to contact me and I refused to tell anyone my name. I would have felt more comfortable selling drugs then I did selling these shirts (that said, just did a quick inventory and I still have about 9-10 shirts available, 3 Extra larges, 6 larges and 1 medium if anyone is interested. If I don't know you, or havent seen you post here on the buzz, I won't sell it to you. Sorry)

I've got a great graphic artist and tons more designs and our own printing press. I'd be more than happy to start tree workers fund. Someone should start a thread and take down ideas. I'm all for it.

I've got the tshirt designs nailed down pretty good. What we really need is money, support and more money!

I used to own a clothing company a few years back, I still occasionally dabble. Designs aren't an issue, it's support that will always be an issue. It's people like these here on Treebuzz that are needed. Willing to sacrifice time and energy for something bigger than themselves.

Then you start to run street teams. Rouge, militia type advertising campaigns to further enhance the idea behind it all. Then, when the money comes in, more shirts go out, ads are placed and you hold your breath and hope for the best.

Initial costs can be tough. I'm a very VERY small company. The money to print these shirts came straight from my wallet, not a savings account. We'd have to get initial capital up to really make a push, then that capital is repaid via check by the non profit when the funds finally (hopefully) become available.

Who wants to throw in more money? I'll keep recycling my capital but I don't think the 400$ will go very far!

Nice work, I haven't seen them over here but i'm sure someone will come up with some eventually.

I agree helmet sticker possibly?

The drawing made on my computer can be send to any sticker creator and you can print it. Originaly this drawing was used for pissing off cops. The logo off the law enforcment was printed on the KONG spot. They frobidden this and now it's used for almost everything else ;-)

It's easier for you guys over there to order one at a local sticker print service. They just have to copy the file from treebuzz or send me a PM and I'll send the original.
