Broken Carabiner - Check It Out.

i saw that your log was around 5 feet that busted your beaner. what was the diameter and how long of a a drop did it have? did it run at all? and what was that beaner rated at. just trying to get an idea of the weights and forces involved to break it.

We didn't take it anywhere for an inspection. Perhaps we should have. Several of us just did what we would consider thorough visual inspections. I'm no longer with that company so I have no control over what happens to it now.

Did the piece cause this crack in the driveway?
Seems like a lot of weight to put on that concrete edge spread over a small footprint, especially when the thickness, strength and or voids under the concrete are unknown. I am not trained in the use of cranes.

Yes, the piece landed on the bucket truck outrigger (no crane that day) and cracked the driveway under it.
