I had it happen on an RP130 using a 1/2" DB. Compromsed approx. 12' of rope about 30' from the end.
I have since rounded the edge slightly with a Dremel tool. Stainlees steel is tuff to round over. Haven't done it on my other 2 RP130's and RP131.
I would like to see the new DMM rigging blocks with the rounded over cheek plates. DMM did it right. The ISC blocks have rounded over cheek plates, I just am not keen with the springlock design. Have heard of 2 instances where the springlock accidently opened during drop hitching. One, the cheek plate swung open, exposing the lowering line. The other, the pin just rotated to the 'open' position, but the cheek plate DID NOT swing open.
