The wait is finally over. TCIA’s Best Practices for SRT in Arboriculture manual is printed and ready for sale. It has over 115 pages of great info for the arborist utilizing SRT as a means of working the tree. There are over 200 color photos as well. This has been a long road from brain-to- bookstore and I hope that everyone finds this a valuable resource. I just wanted to thank all of the folks involved with the manual. It was an honor to work with you. Tchukki I couldn’t have done it without you.

Cheers,
Donny

Thank you Donny and Tchukki for letting me be involved in this awesome project and working with a great team.

Donny, anytime that you want to hold another SRT workshop up here in NH, just let me know, I'll be right there with you brother!

Hey Chris,
You're gonna be missed at EXPO. If I have any say NH/Mass will be the first stop on the "SRT Workshop Roadshow" and I fully expect you to be a part of it.

Could we get Atlanta on the list for a roadshow?

Talks are on their way with many of the major equipment companies and we hope to have a schedule for the 2013 season. I'm all for a trip to the South!!

I could do Ashville Tom. My wife would love to make that trip. A 2 day weekend deal would be awesome! Maybe you could talk John H and Rich H into piggybacking a splicing symposium too since no one wanted to come to GA last spring for one.

G'day all,

New to the Buzz and new to climbing at 43 years old (done a little bit). Not so new to trees as have a bit of felling experience. Just finished a Cert III in Arb (OZ Qualification) and have plans for a Diploma next year. I read a bit watch a bit and listen a lot. Lucky enough to get some good oil from a couple of competent climbers over here.

I am starting out SRT and are interested in all discussions. I too like ficus would jump at the opportunity to get a copy of the book in OZ.
Currently getting use to gear, set ups going low and slow.

Tree's aren't my main work for the most part I'm a grazier and agricultural contractor to the rural sector.

Apologies for the long introduction but I just didn't want to jump in unannounced.

Anyway thanks for having me

Welcome Tony!

Are you saying that you're just starting to climb?

And...you're starting on SRT not DdRT?

If so...this is another huge step forward for arbo work. When I've had climbers with open minds look at both they can see the value of SRT. Having someone who starts right off on SRT is a generational change!
