best leg loop saddles under $300??

Joshua
You've got to be more open minded. Why limit suggetions to leg loop saddle only. How bout best saddle under 3oo? After much climbing in weaver butt straps buckingham master I and II, BF I petzl navaho petzl sequoia srt. My suggestion is buckingham versatile for 293 dollars at sherrill. The bridge is bulletproof and the bosen seat is way more comfortable then any leg loop saddle(this is where I get nuked)plenty of tool storrage. You will need 1or2 william beaners but you will climb 5 or more years before it ever needs replacing. Thats about 5 bucks a month. My 2 cents
spend wisely

I actually agree with this. This saddle is a really good saddle. One of my bosses uses this saddle tried it once and it wasn't all that bad. He hammers on it and I think he has more than 5 years on it.

I had one before the BFII. Damn good harness, I like how it snugs up with the hip straps but it crunched my jooblies sometimes (not often but when it did...!), never got it adjusted so it didn't do that.

I got rid of it because I lost an inch in the beltline and that was enough to make it too big.

i think the weaver cougar will have the same issue as the master classic with crunching in the jewls and i cant decide between the 2 of them. i like the fact that the cougar has a rope bridge for better mobility when limb walking but dont like what people say about it having to much padding. here in hawaii it is on average 80% humidity and 70f-90f.
i like the weight of the master classic and like the way the leg loops look like they will disperse more of your weight evenly across your legs but dont like the non floating bridge.
so it comes down to better mobility or comfort. makes me wonder if i should just suck it up in a ball pinching saddle with good mobility or have a comfy saddle, wishing i had a floating bridge when walkin out on a limb.
ha life is full of choices that almost allways tend to end with a compromise. im leaning more to the cougar but as previous people here have stated, it isn't really that good.

You can add a floating bridge to the Master and still keep the center tie-in. I don't remember the configuration but I put a rope bridge on mine for a while.

I'd take a look at the black widow first though.

Okay, I can tell you what I've noticed with the cougar. Since I'm just sittin here...

Bought one a few months ago for our climber. It was 200 bones, which is why I bought it. Alot of good support, and I think it has memory foam in the padding. Our climber says it crunches his stuff, so he's working on adjusting it so it doesn't. It's sorta heavy and bulky for my taste, but he really likes it. The back and leg pads are really stiff. The stiff leg pads I think contribute to the nut crunch. Seems like it would be very durable. If you can get one for $200, it's a good value. That's all I got, any ??

your gonna hate it after a while. why nor buy treewhitelock's ergo for 325 that is a steal at least then you will be getting a great harness instead of a steaming pile of crap. how much stuff are you carrying in the tree? i carry a fl strap two dynemia straps a polesaw strap and a couple williams hms biners a chain saw and a hand saw. and a ditty bag. by the way you can always add more gear loops
