attention male climbers a question about "the snip"

Seriously? Why get fixed vs. taking birth control [pill, shot, gel, et cetera]?

Well, getting fixed is sometimes irreversible. It's also slightly invasive, as we are discussing...

Gandarusa, I mean, you just pop some veggies, you know?

Vasalgel, well, you just get an injectable medical device... Unfortunately, it's a few years out still because politicians be politicking... The NIH should have picked up the research tab long ago.

So, yup, seriously. Not for everybody, but fo' real.

I was highly disappointed that the procedure only got me off of three days of work. I was looking toward to like two weeks vegging out watching Netflix and getting catered to by my guilt ridden wife who pushed me into the operation... but two days later when she saw me running around playing with the kids with no apparent pain I was shoved out the door with my lunch and told to get at it.

My third baby is coming in the next week or so. My next step is to rub one out and get it tested to see if the procedure actually worked.

 Congratulations, Kevin. I'm sure the third binglet will be loved as much or more than the first two. It's amazing how family planning is so haphazard, in this very modern age...

I tried that calendar method, too... just made the pages stick together somewhere after Miss February. Still ended up with a room full of screaming brats. I returned them all to their rightful owners. That mailman was not happy about it.

I think the ultimate birth control method would be to invent a machine that lets you look 40 years into the future and see your potential mate in the nude.

I got mine done about 8 years ago. Overall a pretty funny experience for me. I walked into the Planned Parenthood clinic and my girlfriend went and sat down in the waiting area and immediately started chatting it up with this guy who was there. I kept looking over my shoulder at them getting into their conversation as I was signing forms and taking an Ativan pill (for anxiety). As I stood there I was getting more and more freaked out about my decision to do the procedure and her having a great conversation with some other random dude wasn’t helping! Apparently they had been friends for years and he was in there for the same procedure. We both got really high on the Ativan and both had a wonderful bonding experience with the whole procedure. We are still friends!

My advice, no matter what the doctor tells you about being able to try things out after a few days, DON’T! You should wait and let things heal a bit.

Man, glad I stumbled on this. I'm getting fixed next week and have been wondering a lot about how long I should stay out of the saddle.

A few climber friends told me I could schedule work a few days afterward but I thought that seemed (pardon the pun) a bit ballsy. Glad I have a full week to recover.

Had mine over 30 years ago. Felt a good bit of pain when he pulled at the right side duct to get a better angle on the cut. Felt it clear up in my abdomen. For almost 20 years after that, that same pain occured at just the wrong moment if you catch my drift.
