Anyone conceal carry while working?

Just make sure before firing a taser at someone they don't have a pace maker installed. If I had one in my chest I'd rather be shot than have my heart electrocuted.

"Excuse me, sir? SIR!? So sorry to disturb you while you ransack my house, but do you by chance have a pace maker installed? Because, you see, I have this taser I was going to use, but I wouldn't want to cause you any undue suffering by electrocuting your heart. I've heard it can be quite painful. You know, better not risk it. Carry on. There's some jewelry in the credenza and a couple hundred dollars in my wallet on the table by the front door. Help yourself to the fridge too if you would like a snack. I'm going to head back to bed. Please show yourself out when you're done and try to limit the noise if you could, the missus gets rather cranky when her beauty rest is disturbed. Thank you and have a pleasant rest of the night"

Just so we're clear America is the laughing stock of the world because, as a whole, you're considered a bunch of xenophobic buffoons. The fact that Trump even made it has far as he has kind of reinforces that perception and your news media isn't exactly helping matters either.

Personally, I think the vast majority of you are great and 99% of the interactions I've had with Americans have been amazing. But, I will say you guys are wired a little different from most of the rest of the world.
Although I think Canadians are better informed generally than Americans, I've been South of the border for 4 years and I've been all over this place except for about, 5 States.
I'll say that the comments from my Canadian family and friends is definitely coloured by perceptions that aren't quite true. A few too many proclamations about what America is like, not actually based on experience. It's a minor quibble in the end, but I do see it.
Americans really are different ideologically. The Founding Fathers and what they put in place is really a religion. The American experiment is unique and is the basis for how Americans feel about being American. You have to live here and read about it to really understand, because it really can look like "wt actual f" from a Canadian or European standpoint.
I study Americans. It's a hobby.
Also, I don't think the US is a bigger laughing stock than the UK right now. They've really screwed the pooch. I feel bad for my British friends.

Just being sarcastic ..... like the whole idea of tasing being less lethal, yet so many deaths have resulted. Not even pacemaker recipients. Oh and since you bring up the point of intrusion .... tasers only have one shot. I'll be pulling out my 9 shot trusty pump action when it comes to protecting my family.

Yeah, I had never heard that it was the kgb. This is more of the history that I was told. Granted it's a communist "libtard" rag, Mother Jones, if there ever was one.

So when do people who stand up to tyranny with their arms cross the line from being freedom fighters and into being terrorists. All a matter of perception I guess.

Good question, it's just the flavor of the week!

Anyways, our government is obviously tyrannical, I don't understand why the gun nuts have overthrown it yet...???

Unfortunately trying to get people "united" in the United States is like herding cats! It is one of the great but also frustrating things about freedom. Kevin you are correct that our CIA did train factions that later became our enemies so we bear the blame for their creation as well as the Rushkies. We tend to use people to further our agendas and then alienate them and turn them into adversaries. Our constitution(one major difference among free nations) is one that gives the people the right to oust corrupt officials when diplomacy has failed but I don't think as a nation we have the testicular fortitude to do it. As long as most people have enough beer, food and a game on TV they are quite content to let their country go to hell as long as they are not affected.

Islamists were promoted by Britain, in the form of the Muslim brotherhood, Israel with the creation of Hamas and the CIA with the mujahadeen, the Albanians in Kosovo and most recently in Syria.
The CIA would provide hit lists of secular nationalists to their middleastern client states.

Secular nationalists were considered or called commies and were and are considered a greater threat to the emperium than islamists. The Islamists also hated communism because it is ideologicaly opposed to all religion.

I'm pretty sure anybody telling you the ruskies did it is full of...

I have a .40 HK USP compact. I used to shoot it weekly. I have a concealed carry permit. I am still amazed & scared of the responsibility carrying concealed is. You have that ability to end someone's life by applying 5.5 pounds on a trigger. In a split second. One wrong decision and there are huge consequences. I avoid bars, and large groups when I carry. I'm less confrontational when I carry because I never want to have to draw my weapon. Never in a million years would I draw a weapon over a goddamn trimmer. The only reason I will consider drawing is when my life or more importantly my family is in danger.
