Can someone define "canobase" for us dummies? I am picturing a base tie along with a cinched canopy anchor! If this is the case, why two anchors?

It's more like a base tie near the top of the canopy. The best situations for it give you multiple small redirects loaded in compression right at the beginning to get a good tie in that retrieves well and has inherent redundancy.

As a matter of spec for sewn eyes? Or is it consistent with one company doing the sewing? I know that they all don't.

Rope logic. They don't fit at first but I just slowly work it through. It's a tight fit but I don't see any damage.
