Advanced Climbing & Rigging

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

Dang, can't believe i'm just now reading about this. Definitely would have made the trip but on this short of notice i don't think it's gonna happen.

Will there be fruture courses? Hope so. :)

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

I am sure there will be. I am not sure where/when, but I'll be sure to post it here. There is a simialr course at Rutgers each year in December. Though I believe that this one in PA will be a little more "advanced".

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

Hey Mark,

Happy Easter.

Any chance of a "Advanced" large tree climbing and rigging class in NJ?

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

This was a great class, any one who gets to take one similar i would highly, highly recommend it. Anyone who has not had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Mark and Brian, your missing out. And they had to put up with my constant overload of questions, for that alone i give them a lot of credit.

True, the Flyers won. The rest of what you said was a lie.

Just playin. Thanks for the great review Derrick. It was truly a pleasure for us to be asked to be there and to have met you and the others. What a great group to be able to listen to us blabber on for two days.

And thanks to the gang that came all the way from CT and Canada as well. That is inspiring.

I'll PM you this weekend.

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

Great seminar, the depth and breadth of knowledge is amazing, great presentation, and nice to see a great climber playin. And nice to meet some buzzers!

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

As was said this 2day course was definately worth it! Mark and Brian are 2great guys full of experince and knowlage . They focused on peoples spacific needes if it be a new climber or one that has been climbing for years. Pretty much let us pick their brains for two days ,courses like these are what make arborist share different techniques, set ups , safe working practices and ways to try n make us all come ouy of this working safer and easier. Lets face it our work is dangerous and having guys like these helping other arborist to make it easier and safer go for it!!!!! hats off to you guys had a great time! and yeah FLYERS WON!!!!!!!!! see ya n the playoffs!!!

Re: Advanced Climbing & Rigging

We were priviledged to attend a great session hosted by the University and learned well from Mark and Brian. It was well worth the twelve hour drive. It was so refreshing to abandon our 18 feet of accumalated snow, and to actually see trees in bloom, flowers, even dry grass to lay down on and and watch these two specialists, share, inspire, and encourage all of us to be better. Many thanks to Bob Walsh and Donna for all your co-ordination...you made us feel right at home. The Morris Arboretum is a great venue and hopefully we will be able to visit again.
Phil
