ABR Ultra Sling

It is shown as a basal anchor for a porty. Is there many ideal in crown applications for it?
We have a wood truck with a hiab that carries 4',6',8',12' nylon slings and they're always every where, this could possibly be a good answer for him? I guess a whoopie would be to but he's the kinda guy that doesn't like to have to adjust things so this may be ideal for just carrying 2 kings that can do it all.

Thoughts?

So you guys splice a locking brummel and another brummel behind it so you have 3 "crossings" of the rope at every splice? Doea it make a big difference to a "normal" locking brummel?
I use something similar for hanging my hammocks. Its like a snake anchor with a 4mm Dyneema line and the smallest Antal ring, but I just use a normal locking brummel on each splice.

Wow, I had no idea there was this kind of blowback when this sling configuration came out. I'm just wondering how everyone's ultraslings are holding up? Anything to be aware of? I have a hank of tREX and some rings I'm itching to whip into an ultrasling.

Blowback? What are you talking about?
Is something up? I'm thinking of buying or making one of these slings.

I thought you might be talking about a performance issue.

Sorry didn't have time earlier to respond. Seems like there was some concern on how the sling was loaded against the pockets and the general efficiency vs a whoopie or loopie. I was just wondering if that was speculative or if there were legitimate concerns. I thought it was genius in its simplicity the first time I saw it.
